Hi everyone!! I just wanted to share something from our brother Francis Fernandez. I was "googling" my name, and accidentally I found his xanga! Hahaha

"…I met some guy from Brazil. He was part of CARP. It's a peace organization, and I thought it was really cool. I was in the park behind the Metreon to read and cool off, but he stopped me and asked If i had time to answer a few questions. So, sluggishly, i said yea. We talked about how world peace could or couldn't come about, and how he's taking a break from college to do this CARP program. We talked about different religions and how they're so similar yet their differences divide our people. It's really amazing. We talked for an hour about all that, and it was so refreshing to talk to someone who actually gives a s***. He hasn't been home for a few months, and he can't go home until next august. =\ I told him we should chill one day. So we swapped numbers and email adresses, and we're going to get some coffee. Whatta nice guy. That was my day. I had a great day."

Later that day he emailed me, and I feel that it's a message for all of us.

"Hey Myung Jin! You know it's been a while since i've met a fresh face with a fresh optimistic outlook on life. [If it's not clear I'll generate a definition] Meaning, It's been a long time since i've met someone with your kind of passion, the passion to be a better person, and I, with full sincerity, believe that that is amazing.
You know, your siblings are very lucky to have a brother like you. Not everyone has someone positive to look up to, and with the world today being so focused on the wrong things, the "popular vote", or when the next deadline is, it's so refreshing to have met someone like you, Myung Jin.
I pray, with the God that I know, that you continue on the path that you've set for yourself. Also, I hope your family continues to be strong because their strength flows into you, and heaven knows how much strength you need at these times, missing your family and all.
I'd really like to have some coffee with you. Let's try next week because I have plans set up this week, but yea! We should totally meet and chill one of these days, and, most importantly, thank you. You talked about changing lives and helping others one person at a time. You succeeded today. You helped me, and, for that, I am truly grateful. See you soon, Myung Jin!
